RAGBRAI 2006 (part 1)

This year's RAGBRAI (Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa) took place the week of July 23rd and was one of the hottest and hilliest rides in many years. The almost 500 mile course had a cumulative rise of more than 17,000 feet and the daily temperatures were almost always in the nineties. Nevertheless the ANIMAL Team prevailed and two of our better/fitter cyclists (Diane and Robin) got to ride with Lance Armstrong. The pictures contained on this site were taken by several of the team. More will be added as they are received.

Capt. Joe Kane - Bus Driver and keeper of the 'Animals'
Susan Kane - Navigator and co-keeper of the 'Animals'
Chris Kaeser - On loan from AP
Diane Kaeser - She started this whole thing just to meet Lance
Robin Hayes - Super cyclist and 'Lance-o-phile'
Sue Cotton - Terry's cousin and Jerry's (c.f. below) sister, trying out as a singing nun
Jerry Kaeser - Terry's cousin and Sue's brother with a propensity for flat tires
Katrina (Kaeser) Cooper - First Timer but she did party last year
Shawn Cooper - We think Katrina talked him into it
Mike Wilhelm - Can't take his eyes off the other busses but they don't have bins!
Courtney Gardinier - ask her about her RAGBRAI nails
Jack Dominic - Terry's bro-in-law and resident “no fun” person
Twisty - the only real Animal that had the sense to sleep most of the time
