Another week come and gone – the year has just started and already it is slipping away.
Good fiber friend Moya’s mom is slipping away, too. The Alzheimer’s slide became very fast recently. Now, without food or water (which she refused and is now unable to take) for about a week or more, there are signs that the slide will end soon. A tough road for Moya who has little family support. But she has been a faithful and steadfast companion and guardian while the roles reversed and the mind got lost. She is determined to help shepherd her mom to the next place.
Moon shadows are in abundance tonight. Such a clear – and getting colder – night. One of the nurses at the Alois Center asked Moya’s mom if she saw the light yet. Tonight’s moon may be her guide home.
